Tuff Ranch BBQ is hosting a Chili and Salsa cook-off on Saturday July 1st from 1-6pm. Cubanisimo will be there with 11 other local wineries and 6 micro breweries. There will be cash prizes for the different winners in each catagory and the overall Salsa and Chili winners will be featured on Tuff Ranch’s new Fall menu.
This is a charity event with proceeds going to the Salem Women’s Assistance League and their Operation School Bell. Operation School Bell provides new clothing for school children in need, ages 3 to 21 and provides assistance in dental education and screenings. This is a great chance to raise money for a great cause and enjoy some BBQ, wine and microbrews!!
The Band Lush will be playing that night at 8:30 and they are going to blow the doors off the barn like they always do!!

We will be closed on Saturday, August 14th because our grounds will be occupied by the wedding of owner Mauricio Collada Jr. & the lovely Debra Franzen. While we are sad to disappoint eager wine tasters, we are proud to share this moment with this wonderful couple, as part of a celebration of their loving commitment to one an other.
As far as gifts, they’re not registered anywhere and while they welcome any special gifts, they are also suggesting that people could instead make donations to the Liberty House or the Mid-Valley Woman’s Crisis Center in Salem. This part of the wedding planning has been a bit of an afterthought, so I suppose it will be up to guests to decide exactly what they want to do.

I think they’re mostly interested in cash donations, which can be submitted by completing a donation form here, but I’m sure they too have a wish list.
If you’re not sure about the logistics of a donation, we’d be happy to collect donations at the wedding on behalf of these groups and then deliver them the following week.

Lessons are $15 per person, which includes a wine tasting or a glass of wine.
The lesson is one hour long, taught by Mz. Jitterbug at the Cubanisimo Vineyards Tasting Room.
Cubanisimo will remain open for an hour after the lessons to encourage dance practice, and general enjoyment.
